Capsule Wardrobe: Spring Update

Well hello again! Spring is here for good, the temperatures are slowly rising, and it´s time for a Spring Capsule Wardrobe update. I know some stick to one Capsule the whole season, but I prefer to have a mid-season adjustment in Spring as well as in Autumn. So I switched out some outerwear as well as shoes and added in a few lighter tops, too. I love getting my wardrobe in it´s best shape, for me that´s such a calming process, and it makes me really excited for the months ahead. I then know exactly what I am working with, can note down any gaps I wanna fill, and plan some outfits that I can´t wait to wear that season. Here it is my updated Spring Capsule that´s gonna be with me till June:

SOME FACTS

The Spring Capsule Wardrobe has 36 items.

I put a lot of my heavier knitwear into storage and instead brought in cotton knits and sweatshirts, which are more suitable for the transitional weather.

Outerwear got quite an update as well, and is now more focused on lighter jackets.

My brown lace up boots get a break till Autumn and I added a pair of loafers and some canvas sneakers to match the rising temperatures.

Ethical and sustainable fashion brands featured in this Capsule: Kings Of IndigoArmed AngelsGood Guys Don’t Wear LeatherFunktion Schnitt, Dariadéh, and Monkee Genes

I also bought some items second-hand which is a great way to shop sustainable clothing for a small amount of money.

This red blouse is such a lovely way to add some colour into an outfit! I adore the shade of red it has and the stripe detail on the back. This look also is one without jeans ( I know who even am I ) and I like how the plaid trousers make the outfit less casual.

Stripes and jeans might not be a groundbreaking combination, but it´s one that just always works and sure is beautiful to look at. The white shirt worn underneath the jumper brings in a touch of sophistication.

This is an outfit I can see myself wearing a lot this Spring. A sweatshirt, plaid trousers and my trusty white sneakers. So simple, yet so good, what´s not to love?!

Time for some air on the feet with my red loafers. Whenever I wear those I like to keep the rest to the outfit quite colourless. That way they really stand out and the look doesn’t get twitchy.

Much colour – no, spring vibes – yes for sure! How it works? With light shoes and accessories, easy peasy 😉

That´s it for today, I hope you enjoyed seeing my little spring capsule wardrobe update and now feel inspired for your own. What is your favourite season to dress for and why? Leave me a comment down below.

I wish you a lovely day
