That´s a wrap for the “No Leather Challenge” ! I loved doing this project and really enjoyed sharing my outfits with you on Instagram! You where the kindest people ever and I only got positive feedback for doing the challenge, so thank you very much for the support, I appreciate it a lot! Today it´s time for a little recap, for some reflection, you could say as well. Time to look back on that week and speak about what it was like to cut out leather products for a limited time, how it changed me, and what´s up next for me and the blog. I am doing the post Q&A-style this time, I hope you enjoy the different presentation! So let´s jump right in:
Was it hard for you to do this challenge?
No actually it wasn’t at all! I was surprised by how easy it was and loved the good feeeling it gave me to not wear anything that´s harming animals. It was warming my soul… 🙂
What feeling did this challenge give you?
It gave me the most amazing, heartwarming feeling of happiness! It just feels incredible to know that no animals are killed for what I am wearing 🙂
How did this challenge change you?
It changed me quite a bit, I would say. I know now that I want to get my wardrobe leather free & it feels amazing, and that´s something I never would have thought I would EVER do a few weeks ago….
Did you miss wearing your leather items?
Not the bags & shoes, but I do have to say I missed my jeans! The ones that fit me best, sadly all have a leather patch on the back! But all in all this week drove me farer away from wanting to wear leather…. no leather challenge recap
Did you feel less fashionable without your leather bags and shoes?
No, I had some cool vegan bag options and that one pair of white sneakers that just look incredible with any outfit…
Are you going to wear leather again after this challenge ends?
Yes, because, let´s face it, I don´t have the money to switch to a leather free wardrobe all at once. But my goal is to get there as soon as possible…
What was your favourite no leather outfit?
I felt most like “me” in the Friday outfit. The look was just very comfy and had those spring vibes with the printed trousers, white sneakers & bag. 🙂
What´s up next for your journey to a leather free wardrobe?
I think I am gonna start selling my leather bags and shoes. It´s not easy to say goodbye to them, not gonna lie, but for me it´s the right way to go…
What is your favourite leather free bag / shoe?
I love my new circle bag from “Baggu”! It`s made from recycled cotton mainly & is ethically made, too. I just love everything about it, the shape, the size & the colour! It´s just the perfect summer bag! no leather challenge recap
What does this decision ( to go leather free soon ) mean for the blog?
I am still gonna post outfits and talk about all things Capsule Wardrobe, so don´t you worry, but I am going to add some post about a leather free lifestyle in there, too 🙂
Can I still read your blog when I love to wear leather?
Of course! My outfits and Capsule Wardrobe post are going to be as great as before and I am sure you can gain a lot of style inspiration, regardless of you choosing to wear leather, or not. I am not judgemental, it´s just a personal decision, and you have the right to choose a different path 🙂 no leather challenge recap
Do you gonna host / do another one of this challenges?
Yes for sure, I am definitely gonna do one in Summer as well 🙂 no leather challenge recap
