Happy Sunday lovely people! So it´s already mid July and that means two things: summer is already half done (can you believe?! ) and my Capsule Wardrobe for the warmer months is at it´s half time, too. Time to look back on that one and a half months and reflect a little bit. In the past I did one of these posts every month, but because I missed out doing one at the end of June, I am merging June and the first half of July…Let´s get started!
That´s actually pretty easy this time! My polka dot, cropped trousers! That makes me quite happy because I sew these trousers myself, so they are a super sustainable item and they where absolutely perfect for the hot weather we had nearly every day… ( see more photos of this outfit here )
My white cropped trousers. Another item I sew for this Capsule. They have exactly the same cut as the polka dot ones, but sadly the fabric I chose is to bulky for them and a bit see-through.That fact made me feel quite uncomfortable wearing them and that´s why I only did so once… ( yep on the photo they look fine, but I promise you they weren’t in real life! ) summer capsule wardrobe recap
I love dressing for warmer temperatures, so I really liked all of the outfits, but the one with the maxi skirt is my fave so far! Not much colour, ( which I am into at the moment ) a minimal vibe, and an interesting detail on the t-shirt, make it stand out to me…It´s fully vegan as well which is a huge plus! Which one was your number 1?
When I started my summer Capsule Wardrobe, all I wanted was colour, especially cute pastel shades. But recently I got tired of most of the colourful items. Instead I mainly reached for blue, white, black and some red. And I love the clear, minimal aesthetic I can create with those colours, but it also means that I currently don’t wear the colourful part of my Capsule anymore because I am just not feeling it. Which sucks! At the moment I am trying to update my summer Capsule so that I love wearing all of it again. Of course that doesn’t mean I change up all the items, but I am gonna put some of them into storage and replace them with some items with the colours I mentioned above. For me there is just not point in sticking to a Capsule that doesn’t feel right anymore, so hopefully the update is going to help with the issues I have right now. I keep you updated! summer capsule wardrobe recap
After years of wear my Chucks where just done, totally worn out and uncomfortable. So I needed a good replacement. At first I just wanted to purchase the same black pair again, but since I am also trying to be a conscious consumer, I wanted to get a more sustainable and ethically made version. I found the perfect shoes at “Veja”. They are vegan, they are made from organic cotton, and are ethically produced too! And the silver colour is just stunning and super versatile! summer capsule wardrobe recap
That´s it for today! Are you doing a summer Capsule Wardrobe? How is it going so far? Leave me a comment 🙂
I wish you the best day ever!
